Chenani is a small town in Udhampur district of Jammu & Kashmir. The assembly constituency of Chanani falls under Udhampur parliamentary constituency. The constituency is reserved for the Scheduled Castes. Dina Nath of BJP won the 2014 assembly elections by defeating Krishan Chander of INC with a huge margin.
