Ramnagar is a town in Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir. The assembly constituency of Ramnagar falls under Udhampur parliamentary constituency. The town got its name from its last king Ram Singh. Ranbir Singh Pathania of BJP won the 2014 assembly elections by defeating 3 times MLA Harsh Dev Singh of Jammu Kashmir National Panthers Party by a huge margin of 23880 votes.
